This morning (11/5), the Jakarta Police found another active bomb that was yet to explode at the dormitory of the Iskandar Muda Welfare foundation (YKIM) in South Jakarta. Yesterday, a bomb exploded at the same dormitory. Police suspect that the newly-found bomb is similar to that which exploded yesterday. "Up until now, the investigation team is still searching for evidence on the scene. This afternoon, the bomb will probably be brought to the National Police forensic laboratory to more accurately identify its type and the materials used," Jakarta Police spokesperson Anton Bahrul Alam said at Jakarta Police headquarters in Jakarta. Anton said that the investigation team would summons SIRA members for questioning. The summons is related to SIRA documents which had been found at the dormitory. Anton added that if the police officers find any proof that relates the bombing to the SIRA documents, they will summon and arrest the SIRA chairman. The police apparatus are also investigating the possible involvement of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) in the case. According to Anton, the GAM might be involved. Police are searching for more evidence in the field and are intensifying questioning of witnesses. From the eleven witnesses who had been questioned on Thursday (10/5), there is not yet any proof that leads to a particular suspect. "The police have yet to find any information regarding the motives and purposes of the bombing and the newly-found bomb," Anton said. Therefore, the apparatus will keep searching for evidence and new witnesses to complete the investigation. Police suspicions were raised by the fact that many of the eleven witnesses possessed fake ID cards. During the investigations, police will coordinate with the Indonesian Military (TNI). "Indeed we always coordinate with TNI, in this matter the Jakarta Military chief, in order to settle the case immediately," Anton said. Regarding the bombing in Depok of West Java, Anton said that the police are still investigating any relation between the Depok bombing and the dormitory bombing. "The two bombings are probably related as they took place almost at the same time," he said. In investigating the Depok bombing, the police have summoned six witnesses and questioned them intensively at the Depok police office. This bombing incident injured a local man named Affandi, 64.
