Two Commanders belonging to the unit of Commander Ramadan Ahmadov, together with another Mujahid, earned martyrdom during the ongoing battles in Grozny. The commanders, Noor-Uddin and Aslam Bek were two of the best commanders, and managed to remain in Grozny, inflicting heavy losses on the Russian forces day after day. Both were members of the Mujahideen Military Command Council. Commander Noor-Uddin was martyred as a result of battle wounds to his abdomen, whilst the details of Commander Aslam Bek's martyrdom are not yet known. The commanders had performed jihad in its truest form, suffering great tribulations on their path to martyrdom.

We ask Allah to Accept them as martyrs and to reward them with entry into the highest levels of paradise. We do not knowingly raise anyone above the level which Allah Most High has assigned to them. After hearing news of the martyrdom, the Mujahideen units in Grozny said they continue to remain very strong in the capital, and vowed to continue their promise to eliminate the Russians forces. Two of the strongest Mujahideen have taken up the posts of the fallen commanders.

Russia Deploys 20,000 OMON Units to Chechnya

The Russian government has been preparing for the withdrawal of its army from Chechnya, by deploying about 20,000 OMON units to perform a number of tasks, amongst them:

- Protecting the back lines of the soldiers as they withdraw. - Preparing and operating additional makeshift prisons and concentration camps for the civilians. - Replacing the army soldiers at checkpoints and bases and spreading the forces throughout the towns and villages especially in Argun, Shali, and Kertshloi. - Planning and attempting to execute Mujahideen commanders. - Spreading havoc and involving innocent civilians in the war. In response to this move, the Mujahideen Military Command Council issued a mandate to all regional commanders to target OMON commanders, officers, and units presently positioned in the villages and towns. In the past, OMON units in civilian areas were not targeted, so that the lives of innocent civilians could be saved. However the recent move of the Russians, has left the MMCC with no other viable option.

Russia Searches for Middlemen to Facilitate Withdrawal

The Russian media recently reported that a number of connections exist with the Chechen government, which can facilitate negotiations regarding ending the war and withdrawing troops from Chechnya. The Russian Military General, Kazanov, verified these reports. The would be facilitators are an ex-Russian monitory minister named Nimsov, the president of Ingushetia and an ex-Chechen minister. The Russians - determined to portray themselves as being 'peaceful' - seem eager to begin these negotiations before the European Union commences its next round of meetings.

Traitor Mufti Covers for the Russian Forces

The traitor, Mufti, Ahmed Kadirov announced that the Russian forces would respect the Muslim Eid in Chechnya, by not conducting any searches on the day. However the Russians made a fool of Kadirov, attacking a number of villages on the day of Eid, and establishing additional check points. They also arrested fifteen men and murdered another in cold blood.

Russia Continues to Suffer Losses

The unit of commander Yarmook attacked an UZAK vehicle which was transporting a number of OMON soldiers in Kertshloi. The Mujahideen burnt the vehicle down, killing seven soldiers. Meanwhile the unit of commander Abu-Thar detonated an UZAK vehicle in Grozny, killing an undetermined number of Russian soldiers. Another group from the same unit also detonated an UZAK in the area of Aftri, killing an undetermined number of soldiers.
